Identify a theme that would be appropriate to use with children in a Pre-K or K classroom who live in a rural area. Identify the major concepts (objectives) to be gained in this unit and include how this theme will be integrated into the classroom and learning centers. Suggest activities and books that may support the theme for this group of children. In addition, state what will be observed to determine how the theme is working and what children are learning. Make sure the arts are included in the theme you have described. Drawing a web of the theme study will provide organization for your thinking and clarify your discussion.
