Play Report Guidelines Watch the film “sweet bird of youth” from 1962 starring Paul Newman. Your assignment is to watch plays and then give a critique on each. Once you are finished watching the movie or live play, please think back and come up with your opinion. With that said, you need to address a few topics in your paper. You MUST speak about the following topics: acting (style/dialect used/casting), set (production design-locations used), costumes, sound (effects, live music, etc.), the directing of the film (what does the director have you see and what can you NOT see if anything), and finally the lighting for the film (back lighting, dim lighting, all front light, lots of shadows?, stylized light?, colored filters?).
