You are free to come up with your own essay title keeping in mind the attached guidance and the theory from the attached slides.
You are encouraged to formulate your essay investigations as precisely as possible, and address such issues as research imperatives, key issues, the scope of the essay, the methods employed within the essay, and its potential intellectual contribution to the field. You may wish to use the essay to begin to explore critical territory germane to your programme dissertation, but you should ensure that the essay rubric arises from, and responds to, issues and problems related from this module. Please consult your course handbook for further guidance on appropriate documentation in your essay. Please also remember that, whatever form or style your critical writing takes, common research tests (such as engagement with relevant materials, a clear method, and effective communication of findings) apply. You are welcome to consult with the module convener (and other members of staff as appropriate) about your essay, and we will discuss essay development in class.
