Provide a general description. *Have a good transition sentence.* 2 – Visual Elements: Discuss only those visual elements that are in your artwork you have chosen. WHAT is shown in the work of art? Include all aspects of what you see. Describe what you see in that work of art so that someone who cannot see that work of art can get a mental image of it based on your description. Each paragraph must contain a clear topic sentence and supporting details, all relating to the thesis. Line Shape Light Value Color Texture Space Time and Motion *Have a good transition sentence.* 3 – Principles of Design Discuss only those principles of design that are in your artwork you have chosen Each paragraph must contain a clear topic sentence and supporting details, all relating to the thesis. What sort of composition has the artist created? What is the focal point and how is your eye drawn to that part of the artwork? Unity and Variety Balance Emphasis and Focal Point Rhythm Scale Proportion *Have a good transition sentence.* 4 – Iconography: Iconography is the study of subject matter, signs, symbols within the work of art. All of the iconography should be detailed for the reader to understand. *Have a good transition sentence.* 5 – Opinion/Impact Each paragraph must contain a clear topic sentence and supporting details, all relating to the thesis. What is your interpretation of this work of art? What are your lasting thoughts? Do you like or dislike the piece and why How does this artwork make you feel Does it remind you of another artwork you have seen *Have a good transition sentence.
