My PHD contains of 3 related papers (researches). Please see attached the Presentation for the second committee presenting all of them.
The purpose of this research is to explore how an MNC’s organizational structure influences its different activities and features (including diversity of the location of technological activities and independence/autonomy) and, as a result, the performance of the MNC.
The dissertation has three parts. The first part investigates the performance consequences of locating R&D in countries with different types of knowledge reservoirs (in terms of their industry affiliation). The second and the third parts examine the effect of the hierarchical organizational position of subsidiaries within the MNC structure on the autonomy of subsidiaries and on the performance of the MNC.
Two of the papers are already written (see attached)- also for needed style and structure.
Please, pay attention, I need the third paper to be written.
The second and the third papers are very related, so in the writing of the third paper you can absolutely use the certain relevant parts from second one.
It is very important that It should be written as in International Business school (line) of research in comparison to M-form line. You can see it in the presentation. It is very important not to mix these schools. The third paper begins from page 46 in presentation. Also, you can find certain relevant statements in the second study in presentation – from page 22 (in order not to double in the same presentation). The results are also in the presentation. Also , I was asked to check if the is a possibility (or need) to connect the study to the RBV (resource based view) literature.
