I’m white, don’t consider myself racist, but can see how I am part of systems that uphold cultural oppression of ‘other’ groups, particularly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders. My politics lean left. My learning goals have included learning ways to be respectful and sensitive to the educational needs and cultural differences of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
