You would need to look at the tables and determine the present stage for operations, technology, marketing, communications, organizational structure and HRM (six pillars/columns) for your company (AGAIN, THE COMAPNY IS HUAWEI)I would suggest that you first determine whether the company is growing or aging. Then, go through the tables for each stage (either growing or aging) and mark in yellow, for example, what you think the company’s stage for each of these six pillars (columns of the table). It might happen that you would have pillars not just in one, but two or even more stages.It is a very rare situation when all the pillars are at the same stage of the life cycle…When your company’s technology and operations, for example, are on PRIME stage; marketing, communications and organizational structure are on ADOLESCENSE stage; and HRM is on a GO-GO stage, then, you could suggest the company management should focus on bringing the HR operations one level up before they focus either on marketing, or communications, or on organizational structure… So far, the company management needs to focus on what is on the lowest level of the life cycle curve.I understand it is not easy to collect the information on your companies using internet resources only… Consider this an educational exercise, where we are allowed to make assumptions.In real life, to determine the life cycle stage of your company you would need to gather information from insider sources… Then, you certainly would have a better and more reliable data. It is important to understand where the company is in terms of its Life cycle, so you could plan your life accordingly and leave the company if and when you see it is hopeless and enters the Bureaucracy stage :-)I would be happy to meet with you in person or on Skype and help you if you want to do the LC analysis for your employer company.For now, you are assigned a company and would need to focus on a branch that works in a hosting country. Of course, it is typical that home country practices are influencing operations in the international branch, so when working on your assignment keep it in mind.For exercise 3, you are required to write a paper/slides (whatever you feel more comfortable with) to prove your findings, providing suggestions on company improvements (for all six pillars), and links to the sources you used.
