The Guidelines direct you to the national ECE Standards and Competencies document. This document guides teacher preparation skills and expectations for all ECE educators. College and teacher prep programs use these standards when designing ECE courses.
Look at Standard 3. It is tied to Child Observation, Documentation, and Assessment.
Scroll to page 18 of the document. Examine these 4 skills and think about what you have learned in this course.
Write a paper describing what you now know and have experienced regarding these competencies in observation and assessment. Divide your paper into the 4 skills and label them 3a, 3b, 3c, 3d. Write a short paragraph for each skill, discussing what you learned in this course that is tied to these practices. Give examples.
