These topics are identified as the Grand Challenges of Engineering.
Each group to research the assigned topic, develop a report and present the report.
1. Technical definition/introduction
2. Present background of the technology referenced
3. Discuss current trends – Domestic and International (can be for select countries or continents)
4. Discuss social, economic and environmental benefits to society from solutions and/or advances in technology.
5. List sources of research/references
SUBMITTAL – Technical Paper & Video Presentation using PowerPoint slides
TECHNICAL PAPER – Each group is required to electronically (pdf format) submit a ten (10) page paper and should follow the below formatting requirements:
Include a cover page with title and team member names along with date and course number
Single-spaced, Font Arial, Font Size 11 for main body of the text, 1” margins (top/bottom and left/right)
Show page numbers at the bottom
Provide a main heading and relevant sub-headings (bold, font Arial, font size 14)
Include pictures or graphics as needed to present information. Each picture/graphic included should be referenced in the main body of the paper.
Maximum size of the picture or graphic cannot be more than 12 square inches when printed.
