Explain why your essay should discuss the way the film articulates gender in relation to representation, visual style and/or narrative. Your paper must be double-spaced, include one-inch margins all-around, be no less and no more than five (5) pages long, and include:
1) A clear thesis statement in the following format: “In this paper I will show how (title of film) perpetuates (type of gender ideology) through the following choices: a) (representation), b) (visual style) and c) (narrative discourse). You are free to elect to focus on one of these areas so that your thesis statement reads, for example: “In this paper I will show how (title of film) perpetuates (type of gender ideology) through the following choices: a) (visual style #1), b) (visual style #2) and c) (visual style #3).
2) Cite at least three academic sources using the Chicago-Style manual. Do not use online sources such as Wikipedia.
3) It must be in Microsoft Word.
