1) It seems that Marco’s augmented reality “magic” clearly aligns with our class lenses – technology enables him to do things with illusion and perception that he couldn’t do otherwise. But do you feel that what he does qualifies as “magic?” Why or why not?
2) Much like we saw with the discussion of technology’s impact on the theater, there are two schools of thought with regards to how technology is positively or negatively affecting the field of magic. What are the arguments for and against technology in magic?
3) Lastly, search online to locate one example of a technological advancement that helped magicians develop a new trick, illusion, or other sleight of hand. This could be a new type of tool or technique – recent or from decades ago.
