After reading the “Invisible Man”selection, it would appear that open defiance was a dangerous approach to the troubling issue of race in the Jim Crow South. Is it therefore wrong to take the easy way out, if choosing any other course is going to mean that one is beaten into submission or even killed? Write a one and a half to two page journal entry in which you use information from the selection to help support your position.
