Identify a state or large local municipality such as a major city for use in this assignment; preferably your own state or a large city near you, but it can be any state or city if you have a preference. It will need to be a state or large city because you will need to do some online research through press releases, news articles, etc. 2. Describe the process of getting a budget authorized, starting from the preparation phase and ending with an approved budget. 3. Review the latest budget that was approved – what were some of the issues that helped or hindered the process of getting the budget approved? Who were the major players? Who were some of the winners and losers in the final budget that was approved? 4. Based on the latest budget approval, what (in your opinion) is the likelihood that the next budget approval process will be as easy/as difficult as the one just concluded?
