“The Brexit majorly affected Britain mainly negatively compared to the positives after the exit. The country struck an agreement with the EU in December 2020 to allow free trade movements within both groups despite the exit. The country majorly depends on trade services that make up a large percentage of the country’s economy. The implication of a ‘no-deal’ Brexit would have significant damage on the economy of Britain. The free trade agreement between both groups might have impacted the UK. However, despite the agreements, the commerce movements between the two groups are not smooth, and the UK still faces significant sanctions during the trading activities. The number of exports of Britain to the rest of the EU has also fallen to 7%, down from 3% during the pre-Brexit period of 2019. The living standards in the country have also been affected majorly due to the implication of tariffs. People are not living life well compared to before the referendum. However, the living standards are only temporary, and improvements will be noted with time. The pandemic affected most activities, but the situation will get better (Pettifor, 2017). A reasonable implication has been noticed in the car industry: it will cost less to import cars from Japan, the USA, and Korea than before the exit. The political arguments that face the country tend to be indirect as the actions are majorly felt on small businesses. The customs at the borders set by the government have majorly affected the implication of car sales. The sales dropped by nearly 30% compared to 2019, while the importation of international brands has increased comparatively during the period. The political reality that faces the country is businesses’ worries are seen as manageable enough while weighed against the freedom that the government deems to be fit. A significant political advantage is that Britain will be able to make its sovereign decisions, but new deals that will occur in the future will not be able to replace what the country had with the EU. The implication of more barriers has majorly affected the citizens of the country. More bureaucracy will be evident and delays for the travelers planning to cross the borders. The introduction of a new immigration system by the country will imply that the free movement of individuals and people will now end. Other EU citizens will automatically be deprived of the right to settle in the UK (Pettifor, 2017). The implication will also affect UK citizens, especially as they will lose the right to live in the rest of Europe automatically. The barriers set by the country have majorly had adverse effects compared to the positive implications that could be realized initially.”
