Choose ONE of the following characters (Adeimantus, Glaucon or Polemarchus) in Plato’s Republic (I attached a PDF of the book) and reflect on his disposition and his key ideas, contributions, interruptions, questions, etc. to the discussion with Socrates about political and/or philosophic life.
A recurring theme in the Republic is the importance of a specific human being’s nature or disposition to his or her role in the city. Do qualities of the character you have chosen seem to provide him with a certain role within the dialogue as a whole? Does this shed light on the overall argument of the Republic or what Plato may be trying to show through the
work.
