Prompt: 2. Using Mudboud and the introduction to Black Faces, White Spaces, talk about how Black experience in the deep South was connected to popular ideas about non-human nature.
To write your response to the prompt, make a claim (what you want to argue) which will be your thesis statement. Articulate two or three reasons why that claim is true and introduce the texts you will be using as sources for your essay. Then, make your case. Be sure to use direct quotations from the sources you use, and cite them correctly word of warning: Don’t just summarize the texts. I’ve read them. Instead, use the texts to prove your point(s). A summary will not get you a passing grade for this exam.
