Before you begin: Read the Directions for Modules 5 through 6 Discussions located on the Module 5 page. Once you know which article you are assigned for this module, locate the full text of the article in the FSCJ Library and Learning Commons
. Articles can be quickly located by typing the first few words of the title in the search learning commons search bar. You must be logged into the student portal to access this page.
Read your article to find the answers to the questions. Remember, you are the ONLY one reading your article; therefore, it is important that you provide accurate information during the discussion.
Submission: Your initial response answers the discussion questions followed by three substantial replies to your peers including a comparison of the similarities and differences between the articles. Please cite the source you are discussing and list the full reference at the bottom of the page for both the initial response and replies.
Grading: This discussion is worth 50 points toward your final grade and will be graded using the Nursing Discussion Rubric. Please use the rubric as a guide toward the successful completion of this assignment.
Answer the following questions about your assigned article:
Describe one measure, method, or instrument that was used to measure a variable or outcome in the article and how the researchers established the reliability of the equipment or instrument.
Describe how the researchers established the validity of the instrument.
From the results section of the article explain one finding that was statistically significant at the alpha or p level of significance. If a hypotheses were stated, was the hypotheses supported or rejected? (if this information is missing, please indicate such).
In the discussion section of the article what were the author’s conclusions, and were they based on statistically significant results of their study?
