INSTRUCTIONS: For this paper assignment, you will need to write a standard five paragraph essay that takes into account what you learned from the Christopher Layne article and the Module presentations and readings. I am requesting that your essay adhere to the following formatting instructions:
The preferred method of submission is to upload your essay as a Microsoft Word document because that will make easier for you to ensure the following format requirements:
Use regular 12 point fonts (Times New Roman or Arial)
Use 1” margins and 8 ½” by 11” paper size
Double space the text of your essay and do not hit “enter” at the end of each line because then I will be unable to grade the assignment. Let your words wrap automatically to reach the next line.
At the top of the first page, write your full name, student ID number, and the date as your first page header. This header should be single spaced and on the upper left or upper right corner of the first page.
On the first page below the header, write a title. Make sure it is center-aligned on the line. Do not make a separate title page.
Insert automatic page numbers. (Insert>>Page Numbers)
You are only permitted to base your essay on your understanding of the Layne article and what you learned in class, i.e., the lectures, the PowerPoint Presentations, and the other assigned reading found in the module. Do not use any other sources.
If you are going to quote or paraphrase, be sure to use parenthetical references to either the article, the PowerPoint presentation, or the other assigned readings. Though I prefer the APSA reference format, any other format such as MLA or APA should suffice.
