Paper: You are expected to organize and analyze the literature you read. When you
write your paper, remember that you are the “expert” on your chosen subject. You have
done the research. Your paper tells a “story” to the uninformed reader. Be sure to
include an introduction stating the main idea of the paper in the first paragraph of content.
Present the content in an organized manner with logical development of ideas.
Summarize the main ideas in the conclusion. You can use headings as appropriate.
Sources: The paper should have at least six references from books, journals, and other
current resources. References should be no more than seven years old, except for
papers on historical topics. Online sources using “.com” websites are not allowed; you
may use .edu, .gov, and .org sources. Wikipedia, encyclopedias, dictionaries, and your
textbooks may not be used as sources.
Format: The paper is worth a possible 15% of the final course grade. There should be 4-
6 pages of content (not less than four pages and not more than six pages of double-
spaced typing). The paper should also include a title page, body of paper, and
reference page, each numbered and conforming to APA guidelines. The paper must
be typed in Microsoft Word format and submitted via the assignment area of Canvas.
The paper will be evaluated according to the developed criteria on the Paper Evaluation
Form.
