TOPIC FOR PAPER: The definition of terrorism is the “use of violence in the pursuit of a political agenda.”
Certainly, V uses violence to pursue what he sees to be the correct political direction for the
people of the United Kingdom, and there are those in the film that would call him a terrorist
because of that. On the other hand, the definition of “anti-hero” is “a heroic figure who
lacks conventional qualities of a hero; a flawed hero,” and there are some in the film that see
V’s acts of violence as necessary to effect needed change, and he is heroic. Write an
analysis of V arguing whether he is a hero or a terrorist, and why it is important for viewers
to see him this way (connect to a real life idea/ concept that makes us care about whether or
not V is a hero/ terrorist)
Use movie V for Vendeta anD the article cinema/idology/critisism for two of the required citations.
