Purpose
The purpose of this assignment is to demonstrate an understanding of the commercial banking system and an understanding of other financial intermediaries. Commercial banks are financial intermediaries and dominate the market, but are not the only players in that space. This assignment will make sure the student understands the major role players in the industry.
Directions
Please prepare a 10 to 12 slide PowerPoint presentation discussing the commercial banking system and other financial intermediaries.
You should include the history of commercial banking, the current regulatory environment, and alternatives to commercial banks.
Each slide should utilize the “speaker notes” section and include a discussion of the slide.
In addition to the 10-12 content slides, the presentation should have a title slide and a reference slide that includes a minimum of 3 references.
