In week #10, you were responsible for readings from the textbook that dealt with Chapter 19’s topic ofAmerican Dilemmas. This reading gives full context for our current political, social and historical climate. In this chapter, we say the role of the NAACP and how black people were able to win civil and human rights through the American legal system. All semester long, I have used the equation of Racism = Prejudice + the Use and the Abuse of Power. For this discussion post, provide an example of a present-day phenomenon (person, place, thing or event) that has a connection to the topic discussed in our readings with the exception of the example that I provided earlier dealing with civil rights and black power.

Write 2 paragraphs outlining your research project. Here is what I’d like: Briefly identify the problem. Then lay out the research question, and outline your hypothesis, if you have one. In your second paragraph, identify the research method or methods you will employ. It can be quantitative or qualitative, but tell me exactly what that method is. (There are lots of choices we have explored in the textbook).
If you like, you may also briefly identify what the “literature” out there says about your question. If some other source has “answered” your question, be sure to reframe yours so that you can contribute to a better understanding of the problem.
