should have an introductory paragraph that ends with a clear thesis.
Remember that you will elaborate upon your
thesis in the body of the paper. So you should not try to pack too much
information into the opening paragraph (the introductory paragraph).
For the 3 Body Paragraphs
Your body paragraphs need to develop
your thesis. Here is where you will go into detail about your thesis and draw upon your research as you
make your argument. Remember that your research should serve your argument
– use it to support your OWN ideas. Relate
your research to your thesis. Explain. Tell me why all this is important.
You will also need to refer to a specific example,
in detail. Discuss the example. Explain how it exemplifies the problem. Relate
the example to your thesis. Explain why this is important.
Recommend a course of action. What one
specific step or action do you feel would address the problem of
animal cruelty or species extinction or habitat destruction? Be as specific and
as detailed as possible. How would this help? What effects would be the result?

For the Conclusion
Try to conclude your paper with a summary
of the argument you have made – that the issue is a serious problem and
that it needs to be recognized and addressed, and that your recommended course
of action would be a good first step to alleviate the problem. What exactly
is at stake?
