1. Propose at least two research questions/hypotheses that you want to explore using survey
research. Try to make at least one theory-based hypothesis.
2. Come up with at least five survey questions. (These questions should be able to answer your
RQs or test your hypotheses)
• At least two questions should be about theory-based variables
o Choose a theory/theoretical model that is relevant to your research interest.
o See the example below
• At least one question should be about a PR-related variable
o Trust, commitment, satisfaction, authenticity, negative WOM, etc.
• Each question measures one variable
• At least two questions that use multiple items to measure one variable.
• Include one Likert scale question and one semantic differential question
• No open-ended questions
• No demographic questions
• Consider the question wording, order, format
• If you adapt measures from the published research, please provide the source
* Be creative. Think about the practical/theoretical contribution of your study
* You can adapt measure from Sample Measures in the D2L
*Term explained:
Research questions: the overarching questions that the survey research sets out to answer.
Survey questions: Specific questions you will ask the participants in the survey
See next page
*Example: (this example doesn’t contain a PR-related variable)
Technology acceptance model (TAM)
• H1a: Perceived usefulness has a positive effect on attitudes toward the smart home gym
equipment.
• H1b: Perceived ease of use has a positive effect on attitudes toward the smart home gym
equipment.
[Perceived Usefulness] (adapted from Kurnia, Smith, & Lee, 2006).

Using it is useful for doing workout 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 – 5 – 6 – 7
Examples of questions
• Explain how often do you typically use our products or services? (A ‘Daily’ to ‘Do not use’ scale
works best here)
• Based on your recent purchases, please rate your satisfaction with [a service or product
attribute, like its value, purchase options, onboarding experience, etc]
• How would you rate your overall satisfaction with the [product/service] you received? (A
Likert scale question between 1-5, with 5 being ‘highly satisfied’ and 1 being ‘highly
unsatisfied’, works best here).
• On a scale of ‘very easy’ to ‘very difficult’, how easy was it to interact with [company
name]? What made your experience like that?
This assignment must revolve around metaverse.
