Paper #2 White Privilege.
Read the McIntosh examples, read the “Broke Person” article (click on the title) and watch the Tim Wise video. After you have a solid definition of white privilege, select one item from the McIntosh list. Describe how the concept affects you. Explain how it feels to be better, to be superior. Explain how it feels to be ‘put down,’ to be invisible. It might help to think about the times you have been in a diverse group so you can ‘see’ comparisons between people from different groups.
Your paper will be one page. Single space within paragraphs and double space between pragraphs. One inch margins. Because the paper is one page, you must organize your thoughts, write an outline and then write a draft. After you have worked on your paper, edit it to conform to the assigned format. Submit your completed paper in document form below
