This assignment is designed for you to conduct research on a disease of interest and apply concepts learned in the first quarter of this class.
Your paper should be limited to 1000 words (excluding titles, bibliography, and foot/ endnotes) using 1.5 line spacing, size 12, Times New Roman font, and APA reference style.
At least four (4) references are required and two of these references need to be from peer-reviewed literature.
The paper must:
I. Briefly introduce the disease you were assigned.
II. Briefly discuss its morbidity and mortality within a given population or country, and include a description of the general epidemiology of the disease (i.e., its etiology and natural history)
III. Briefly provide an overview of one (1) effective intervention that could potentially control the spread of the disease or reduce the incidence rate.
Your paper can have subdivisions if it allows you to organize your thoughts and ideas better, but at the least, you should have an intro, main body of writing, and a conclusion. Your bibliography should be included at the end.
