TOPIC – Introduction: Write a brief introduction of the news event that you are reviewing and the question that your research seeks to answer.
RESEARCH Primary and Secondary Sources and Deconstruct/Analyze: For each source, consider the historical context and the writer’s point of view or perspective, any new ideas or interpretation of the event? Themes? Compare the differences and similarities between the sources?
EVALUATION Change Over Time: How did the accounts of this event change over time? How does current news give new meaning to this historic event?
Your Own Analysis, Interpretation: After reading these sources, what is your answer to the question of the news event?
ANNOTATED Bibliography: List your 10 sources, name of publication etc. and summarize in a sentence or two what the story reported or the angle it took about your event. Include links. Use MLA style.
