Which ethical theory offers the best response to complex social issues such as Global Hunger or the World refugee crisis? In your paper you will examine how well the major ethical theories (Utilitarianism, Kantian Deontology, and Aristotelian Virtue ethics) respond to the difficult problems and complexities of global hunger or the international refugee crises. Select one of the social problems listed above (feel free to narrow down the issue to specific region as a case study). Your first task is to establish the basics facts. Consider how facts and complexity of the issue might pose problems for the various ethical theories. MAIN TASK: All things considered, which ethical theory do you argue offers the best moral response to the crisis and why? Defend your position and indicate why your ethical position is more beneficial, reasonable, or ethically superior to the alternative theories. Don’t forget to define your terms and engage and anticipate objections from the competing theories.
