The Sound of Music Presentation
Choose a song, musical selection, or instrumental that moves you, resonates with you, or brings about certain types of feelings. Answer the following questions and present in a screencast, etc.
Create a Power Point, Prezi, Google slides, etc. that displays the musical selection, the link, and the answers to the following questions. Save and upload. You must also create a screencast presentation (screencast-o-matic.com), add your voice to your slides (or however you would like to present), walking through your slides as if you were presenting it to the class.
What type of music is this? What are the dynamics and tempo? Do you like the rhythm? Why? What instruments do you hear the most?
Can you hear melody, harmony, unison, a little of all throughout the selection?
What types of emotions or moods do the lyrics and/or music bring about in you?
Is there consonance or dissonance within this selection?
Can you listen to this selection every day and enjoy, or do you have to be in a certain type of mood to enjoy it?
Is music an important part of your life? Did you grow up listening to music often? Do you listen to it now – on YouTube, in the car when you’re driving, when you’re cleaning the house, when studying, when spending time with your significant other, etc.?
