M2A2 Individual Assignment: Self-reflective Essay on Your Experiences as a Member of a Virtual Team

The purpose of this assignment is to help you reflect upon the readings and discussions you have had during this module as a member of a virtual team. The act of writing a self-reflective essay is to encourage you to identify personal insights, ideas, observations, and comments (from your readings, classmates, and/or instructor) that struck you and offered the potential for you to have an “aha “moment. The ability to become self-aware is an important management skill for a high performance manager. Please write a 7-10 page double-spaced paper with appropriate links to your readings, observations, classmates’ comments, and so on.
Your paper should be guided by the following:
Identify any personal insights, issues, and critical questioning of ideas and comments presented in the class readings, by your classmates or me that struck you and offered the potential for learning about virtual teamwork and its many aspects.
Include descriptions of why these insights, questions, comments, and issues are important to you as a high performance manager.
Explain how the readings, comments made in the virtual seminar by your team members, and/or questions raised by them during your assignment to develop a team presentation, challenged your way of thinking; and most importantly how your actual participation in your virtual team challenged your way of thinking and understanding. For example, were you able to link your own personal experiences in organizations/virtual teams/face-to-face teams (past and present) to the ideas, comments, readings, and/or questions that were raised in this module? How? What was different? What was your interaction as a member of the team?
