Focus on the comparing and contrasting of Germany and the U.S’s methods. ie Life in prison (welfare of inmates, time of incarceration, punishment etc.), life out of prisons , opportunities for inmates (schooling / jobs) , and the statistics of each country (crime rate, number of inmates that return to prison after initial release, etc,.

paragraph 3- country as a whole (result of different methods.)
Basically what can U.S. corrections learn from the German prison system.
Initial thesis: The United states criminal justice system should be more centered around rehabilitation and resocialization opposed to its current system that focuses on incapacitation and retribution.
