if your are, indeed, well versed with the knowledge and expertise that is
consistent with my exact type of grounded theory methodology, Charmaz? I would
also need assurance that this will include ALL NECESSARY REVISIONS. This process
involves multiple rounds of revisions, until I receive approval from my Chair.
I do not determine this.
I am working on dissertation and
need help completing/filling out the attached Coding Participant Interview Transcripts excel coding document as
quickly as possible.
I have included the 6 interview
questions and follow-up probing sub-questions in the first two columns of the attached Coding Participant Interview Transripts
excel document.
My dissertation central and sub research
questions are: RQ1. What is the process by which women who have
experienced intermittent father absence cope with that ambiguous
loss? RQ1b: What are ways to reduce the negative impacts of
intermittent father absence on women’s close relationships? RQ1c: How
do women who experience intermittent father absence learn to get their needs
met in close relationships?
I will send you all 20-participant
interview transcripts as attachments as soon as you confirm you are able
to handle this order. You
will need to go through each transcript and MANUALLY extract participant
response quotes that address the research questions/probing sub-questions and
place it into the QUOTES column of the excel sheet. You will
do this for each of the 20 participants. In the PARTICIPANT # column,
you will then identify summary key words/phrases/themes/codes/categories that
describe the essence or focus of that quote. After this has been completed for
all 20 participants, you will then identify the key
words/phrases/themes/codes/categories that resonated and was relevant to MOST participants;
this will be indicated in the SUMMARY CODES column.
I have been working on doing open coding by
hand/manually, in which I have attached documents with manual
coding for your review. This is a very arduous process, but I believe
it will provide you with the necessary illustration of the codings that I added
in the attached excel word document. Each transcripts is lengthy, which means I
am not likely able to go through all 20 myself. Please complete the rest of the
codings in detail according to these examples. Each of the interview questions
were asked in the transcript but you may have to play around with key
terms to find where the responses for specific questions, in each transcript
occurred. The same can be done/replicated for all of the rest of the
transcripts to identify detailed codings. Based on this, the
final coding should be an accumulation/combination of the themes that arose
under each question. Every question should have a theme, and appropriate
sub-themes. So please let me know if you have questions before we proceed. Only
codes that resonate among multiple participants should be included as
themes/codes.
I have attached the completed reasons
for father absence excel sheet, so you can review those as an
example of some themes/codes that resonated with the overarching interview
questions and the probing questions, that correlate with what the sub-themes
need to be.
How soon you are able to complete this
order? Please manually complete the excel file and return to me for submission.
The excel columns must be filled completely for submission. Do not use a coding
software unless it will help you to fill out the excel file entirely. Thanks
