In this essay, you will be engaging in an argument on the intersection between social media and free speech. You will synthesize several articles which I have attached on the subject and respond with your own ideas and arguments.
Next, conduct a critical analysis of the attached articles on the relationship between social media and freedom of speech. Consider the variety of points and perspectives on the argument.
Then, engage in the debate by providing your own argument on the issue. You must provide original thought and analysis. Don’t simply summarize the articles, but engage in a discussion with the authors and their ideas by synthesizing some points that they make and responding to their points with your own ideas and arguments on the matter. However, remember that your ideas should be the dominant focus in your essay. Your arguments are primary; the author’s arguments are secondary and are only used to respond to.
You must quote and cite from at least two of the articles provided and include them on the works cited page. However, remember that you are making the argument. DO NOT simply summarize or repeat the arguments in the articles! This essay must be written in third person. You must quote and cite the sources using MLA style.
