Scenario: Your boss was really impressed with your work on the Informative Memo. They would like for you to go back and look a little deeper in the research. This time, they are asking for you to expand the research you included in your memo and look at a competitor of the original company you chose. Thoroughly research and analyze these companies’ stability and profitability as well as their attractiveness as a potential investment. Write an objective, informal critical analysis comparing and contrasting the two companies (Note: You select the second company)
Instructions: For the Analytical Report you will be researching and discussing two publicly traded companies. You already selected one company for your informative memo. For your second company you must select a competitor of the company you have already discussed. You will then discuss both of these companies in your Analytical report. The purpose of this assignment is to practice gathering information from reliable sources, analyzing the information, and presenting your findings in writing and through a presentation. Please submit your analytical report here.
Audience: Your audience for the report is your instructor (boss) and fellow students (colleagues)
Length: Suggested maximum number of pages for the body of the report (excludes references, title page, table of contents, and executive summary) is FIVE complete pages. The Minimum number is 3 complete pages within the body (noted in red below)

This is an exercise in company research (from a prospective investor’s point of view) that assesses the attractiveness of two companies.
Contents/Criteria for Analysis:
Title Page(one page)
Table of Contents (one page)
Executive Summary (one page)
Brief introduction (one paragraph) (front point 4-6 must be in three pages)
Criteria for analysis of Company A vs. Company B
Brief description of each company
Market position/growth potential (Major products and services)
Ability to compete
Financial analysis (stability and profitability)
Recent publicity (including reasons NOT to invest in each company i.e. recent layoffs, lawsuits, negative publicity, etc.)
