The aim of the practical is the get acquainted with the Bayley-III Scales on basis of a lecture that explains the background and scoring of the Bayley and video that shows the evaluation of an infant using the Bayley-III. Subsequently an original and scored Bayley-III record form has to be scored and interpreted using the BSID-III manual. Please calculate the (corrected) age and start point of the child and fill in the overview (page 1+2) of the record form. Both them record form and manual are available as a pdf file on student Portal, Practical PSY4037. The overview of the record form that has to be filled in is distributed on paper in the lecture. Luke S. is a prematurely born infant that seems to have some developmental delay. The single mother is currently without a job and receives social support from the principality and minor alimentation from the father who lives abroad in Lisbon, Portugal. Luke was evaluated using the Bayley-III at the Maastricht Daycare Centre by a certified Psychologist.
