Select a company website. Spend a significant amount of time browsing, clicking, and considering buying things from the company (or perhaps really buying something).
Come up with a list of 10 college level marketing observations and suggestions for how to improve and enhance what you have observed. Be sure to explain the impact of your observation and the improvement/enhancement. In this list, you must add at least 5 visuals (screenshots from the website ) to show what you observed. Submit this list along with a 1-2 page paper about the process you took to analyze the website or in-person establishment and what you learned in the process.
For every suggestion you must cite your textbook.
An example of a thorough website observation and suggestion for improvement/enhancement for JetBlue is below. – JetBlue’s home landing page is blue. While the color selection makes sense given the company name and branding colors, it appears to be “too blue”. I had a hard time figuring out where to login because the Sign In button didn’t jump out to me – everything looks so blue on that screen that the navigation buttons blend. I’d encourage JetBlue to think about having the Sign In button be changed to yellow and having the background color where that button is be white, so it doesn’t get lost in the blue. This will allow customers to have a better experience with the website, thus hopefully resulting in more positive reviews online and referrals. If a website isn’t easy to navigate, customers won’t want to use it. As stated in our textbook, “XXXX….”
