This activity serves several purposes. (1) Watching and evaluating sample speeches prompts you to think through and apply the evaluation criteria by which your own speeches will be evaluated. (2) Submitting your answers on the group discussion board allows you to engage with your peers and consider qualities of the speech you may have missed or opinions that may differ from your own. (3) Working with your peer group will provide another opportunity for interaction, fostering a more supportive community for your speeches.
