Your personal statement will allow the admissions committee to assess your academic writing skills, with a focus on your background, professional aspirations, your research interests, and reasons for pursuing a graduate degree at Prescott College. We ask that your essay is 3-5 pages in length, written with scholarly
citation, is double-spaced, and that you respond to all of the following questions:
Your background: What key academic, professional and personal experiences have contributed to your decision to pursue a graduate degree?
Your objectives for graduate study: How do you plan to apply the graduate degree to your personal and professional goals?
Academic preparedness: Describe your readiness to thrive in a graduate program which requires high levels of self-direction, motivation, and academic rigor.
