Carefully structure your paper. Your introduction should include an encapsulated
summary and a sense of your judgment of the article (this is your thesis). In your introduction,
you must also have a brief road map detailing how you will proceed in the essay (see Dumitru
and Johnson’s roadmap on page 5 or Varshney’s on page 364). The bulk of your essay should be
spent answering the questions; however, you should frame the paper by referring back to your
thesis, which is your overall judgment of the article.
