consistently utilize to frame your nursing care. (I am not looking for
history of the complete theory, just a brief synopsis of it – but
mostly how you will apply the theory and your rationale). What criteria did you use to evaluate
nursing theories?

your personal nursing philosophy

Sometimes
creating a personal philosophy can be daunting. Consider the following
questions to help you develop your own personal nursing philosophy. You are not expected to include all of this
in your philosophy; the questions are just to help you get the wheels turning
to draw out the concepts, values, and feelings into a more concrete structure
and words.

What
is nursing? What is nursing’s role in society? What purpose does Nursing
fulfill? How will you lead change and advance health?
c.
What
characteristics are most important for a nurse to have or not have?
d.
What
values or beliefs are most important to nursing?
e.
What
does it mean to be “a great nurse?”
f.
How
will you demonstrate integrity in your professional practice?
g.
What
is your role in assuring patient safety and improved health?
3.
Paper
should be 5 to 7 pages long, NOT including title page and reference page.
Points docked for more or less. Include at least three recent scholarly
articles or studies.
4.
7th ed. APA format only. Use the student
version (not the scholar/academic). Running head NOT necessary. Ensure title
page and References align with 7th APA format.
6.
Select a
patient you are providing care during your preceptorship. Develop a care plan
based on the selected theory. Use the
most significant nursing diagnosis for this patient to structure the care
plan. Apply your favored nursing theory to one nursing diagnosis for this
patient care and patient outcomes. How can your theory influence your practice?

7.
Describe a
teaching need that this patient had, how you assessed the need, how you
determined to teach the topic, and how you assessed that the patient had
learned it. What would you do differently next time, and why? Minimum
requirement: three sentences in at least three paragraphs.
