One aspect of health education is informing the public at large or specific sub-groups of the most current knowledge of public health. To that end, Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) are a method to ensure that important or research information is available in a way that is easily accessible to a target audience.
Select a current (within the last five years) public health document or report or a research article on a topic of your choice. Several articles are listed below; you can select one of them if you wish. Alternatively, you can use a public health issue (for example, COVID related; to a chronic disease such as heart disease, cancer or diabetes; infectious disease such as the flu; environmental health issues such as clean water and air, walkability). Decide on your target audience. Decide on the questions that your audience might ask most often; alternatively, consider what information is most important to get out to the audience. Write the questions and answers. There should be a minimum of 8 questions and up to 12. Deliverables include the FAQs with a first page that includes the research article and link to it and the target audience.
This assignment can be done as a re-do. Drafts must be submitted no later than 1/30.
