M.S. Organizational Psychology Week 2:
Explanation of Organizational Needs
After speaking with the CEO as well as examining the issues identified by Dr. Happenstance, you are charged with the task of explaining the needs of the organization in written form. In order to do so, you must generate a document that thoroughly explains not only the items listed by Dr. Happenstance, but the underlying causal factors of each of those issues. You must support and inform your arguments through the inclusion of existing scholarly literature in the form of references and citations.
Write this paper with an introduction and use subsection and major section headings.
Include a list of at least 2 causal factors for each of the items on Dr. Happenstance’s list.
*Note: Avoid first-person verbiage and write in third person, no direct quotes, and do not give possession to in-text citations or inanimate objects.
After speaking with my professor, he gave I/O Psychologist Manager level Authority to help transform the organization and tackle these factors and create and simplify these solutions:
Factors :
No Engagement at the workplace
Dysfunctional organization
No Strong organizational culture
Burnout
Shift dysfunction
No strong Leadership style
A new policy by Professor was established: That would not allow any Senior employees to pick first shift, everyone has the same rights, no one is above no one.
Other solutions to look into to increasing engagement and positive relationships among employees are:
Team building activities
Increase engagement
Increase Employee satisfaction and reduce stress.
Help explain more of this solution and intervention with a background of Human resources experiences as well as clinical psychological experiences. Write a brief summary of your background with these experiences.
