Topic Proposal:
Submit a 1-2 page topic proposal. The point of the proposal is to describe a researchable question about ideas related to the material covered in this course. Your question should be one that is theoretically interesting, one that has not already been conclusively answered, and one to which you think you can make a reasonable contribution toward answering in a 15-20 page paper. Tell us what your question is, why it matters, what your approach to answering that question is going to be, and how your approach differs from approaches that others have taken in previous research. Your proposal should also include a list and brief (1-2 sentence) description of at least five sources that you will be drawing on in researching your project.
