Writing Assignment: Cultural Changes
Explain the importance of culture in advancing social changes in society. You can focus on a specific generation, or social issue/social movement. Examples of cultural changes would be the acceptance of women in the workforce, the acceptance of gay marriage, and the legalization of reproduction rights. You could look at the cultural shifts that allowed for the Black Lives Matter movement to happen or the cultural norms of Nigeria and its focus on education. You should also demonstrate your ability to use sociological concepts and theory.
You need to use at least five resources. Include a reference cited page, that page does not count toward the four-page minimum. Your sources need to be academic, peer-reviewed articles or books. Assignment should be typed, approximately four pages, double-spaced, with appropriate fonts (11-12 point) and margins (1 inch).
