1.Pick a human rights issue (See ProCon.org for examples) that is important and will be interesting to research. Be specific, not broad. 2.What will you be arguing “for” or “against”? What are you trying to persuade your reader to do? What supporting evidence will you use to persuade the reader? 3.What specifically are you interested in exploring? What is your original research question? What will this exploration illuminate about society, culture, or the human condition today and for the future? 4.Which primary and secondary sources will you use to do your research? Identify quotes of interest from sources that may be inserted into your paper.
