Project Title (can be draft at this stage)
– How
human research managers themselves experience supporting the employees
through pandemic-induced measures and whether providing more significant
support adds additional mental strain on human resource managers
themselves.
Duration of proposed project, i.e. when does it start and end?
– March 2022 – May 2022
Anticipated start of fieldwork, e.g. when you expect to start the process of gathering data?
– March 2022
Please
provide a brief summary of the proposed study (if possible, in less
than 300 words). Include, for example details of data collection
methods, participant recruitment, what groups form you research sample,
place fieldwork will be conducted, method of gaining consent (if
applicable) and details of how data will be stored. In the case of
research involving sensitive or controversial topics and/or making
vulnerable groups the direct focus of your research, please send copies
of consent forms, information sheets, protocols, etc. to xxx
– Current
research focuses more on the additional pandemic-induced mental strains
placed on employees and how human resource managers can help their
employees tackle them through setting in extra effort to support them.
However, we know less about how human research managers themselves
experience supporting the employees through pandemic-induced measures
and whether providing more significant support adds additional mental
strain on human resource managers themselves. To further investigate
this issue I plan to e-mail IT companies’ HR departments to gain consent
for conducting
interviews with the HR employees, if possible, on the company’s
premises. I am planning to use qualitative interview methods and store
the data on my personal laptop in a password-secured file.
