You will develop a main argumentative claim related to your chosen word. Your main argumentative claim should be expressed in one sentence, which will serve as your thesis statement. This should be labeled in your essay.
You will compose an essay supporting your argumentative claim/thesis using (AND LABELING IN YOUR ESSAY WHEN YOU DO) at least THREE of the support strategies discussed on pgs.
Lines of reasoning or analogical reasoning (you must use at least one of these approaches to arrange your essay or some combination of both; these do not count toward the three).

You must also include AND LABEL a counterargument (your rebuttal or refute to an opposing viewpoint), a concession (your allowance of the validity of an opposing viewpoint), and at least one qualifier (though you will probably use more).
