So what is the purpose of conflict management? Is it essentially just to solve a problem? According to the reading this week, no. It is also important to resolve conflict in order to ensure that the problem doesn’t arise again. It moves the project forward and keeps the team fully intact and engaged. You have learned different methods to resolve conflict (e.g., accommodation, compromising). But you need to make sure that you aren’t just applying a band-aid to the situation. Instead, you want a permanent, long-term solution to not want a reoccurring problem. In a 5 to 8-page paper, you, the project manager, will discuss the importance of conflict resolution and provide a plan on how you will resolve conflict as it arises. Make sure you are providing a plan for a long-term solution. Also, write about a specific time conflict arose in your life and what you did to solve it.
Length: 5 to 8-page paper, not including title and reference page
References: Include a minimum of 5 scholarly resources.
