Objectives
and Format
1.
In this assignment, you will
read three assigned articles and complete your essay based
solely on the content provided in them. You can use direct quotations to a
maximum of 10% as noted by APA. Essays that use more than 10% will be deducted
that percentage from their overall grade. For example, if 20% of your essay is
directly quoted – 10% will be deducted from the rubric grade. If 50% of your
essay is directly quoted, 40% will be deducted from your rubric grade. Note:
only your words will be evaluated for grammar on the rubric – not those of the
author quoted.
2.
Every time you refer to content in
one of the articles, you will use one of the following citation formulas that
align with APA citation style. You are required to use all of the
“formulas” (at least once) written below to ensure the reader always
knows the source of your information (you can change the author’s name and year
when appropriate). NOTE: You are required to cite the paragraph you
have paraphrased with the ¶ symbol and the paragraph number. Essays that
do not, will be considered incomplete and will not be graded until the work has
been submitted as required – late deductions will apply (5% per day).
According
to Coates (2016, ¶10), complete
your paraphrased sentence.
As
explained by Landhaus (2018, ¶2), complete your paraphrased sentence.
