APA formatting
– In Assignment 1 there are a lot of inconsistencies using the APA format style such as in-text citations, the References page layout and even a lack of citations.
– Remember in APA formatting, material from another source must be cited in order to avoid plagiarism.
– If every sentence in a paragraph is from a source, every sentence must be cited. This also includes course materials.
– Page numbers must be included for direct quotes.
– Reference page should use ‘hanging indentation’

– In Assignment 1 and with the Headline News Discussions, we are looking for more than just a description or summary of events (or examples in the case of Assignment 1). Please show your analysis skills! Make your argument, examine, interpret, and connect. Discuss how key terms and points in the unit support/reject the underlying argument and assumptions in the story. Include what is intriguing, puzzling or irritating.
Draw upon past and current course material. You must include course materials in your work (and reference accordingly with APA formatting).
The news item can include a newspaper article, podcast, radio, television show or blog from 2020, 2021 or 2022. Be sure to include the link to the news item in the original post.
